UPDATE 11/25/2009
Kyna is a 5 year old purebred Border Collie. She is a black and white female with ticking (the freckles) on her face and legs. Kyna  is one of the dogs rescued from OK and she is a treasure. She has had more than her share of puppies and proved to be an excellent mother to the litter she had in rescue.  Kyna's temperament is excellent.

Kyna has really started to shine! She is answering to her name and she usually comes when called. Just not if there are any squirrels around! She is very focused on squirrels when they enter the yard; sometimes she even trembles with excitement. She loves to watch the squirrels. She has started playing with the other dogs and seems to really be having a good time.

Kyna has come far since first coming into rescue. Kyna is still a bit leary of strangers but allows her  foster mom and people she knows to do full body pets. She will take tidbits from strangers hands after a little bit. Kyna is learning to walk on leash. Sudden noises startle Kyna, but she recovers much faster than before. Kyna eats well, and if any of the other dogs don't finish their food, she will.  I  wouldn't trust her with cats at this time.

Kyna has shed most of her coat. She seems to really like to be brushed too. But there really isn't much left to brush right now. All the old harsh and crunchy hair is gone and there is just a soft layer now. With continued good nutrition, she should start to grow her coat back in more.

Kyna is a very gentle dog and I  would love to see her go to a home where she would be a princess. She has had a rough life. Kyna is being fostered in Minnesota.
