Cecilia is a 2 year old purebred red/white female border collie. She was an owner surrender and may suffer from pediatric spay related incontinence (which seems to be controlled with a daily incontinence pill which is quite inexpensive). In her new foster home she gets along well with everyone, including children, but does want to dominate the other dogs. Sissy would probably be best as an only dog or with a submissive male. Cecilia is a fast learner and has already learned sit and is learning to come when called.
Although we were told she was timid, she has blossomed in her foster home and any sign of timidity has disappeared. Sissy is still shy in public, but is progressing really well. Stability in her environment will help her become more confident, as well as futher socialization. In just a week, Sissy has become more outgoing in public. She recently went to a Petsmart Meet & Greet - she was nervous but allowed everyone to pet her and even 'asked' for pets from several people. Sissy is a young dog and with more socialization we think she will blossom into a happy outgoing dog. She has not had any accidents in the house except for one the first day she was here. Sissy will make a wonderful companion to an active family.
More on Sissy as we get to know her!
