My name is Kennard and I am a red and white male Border Collie with some "ticking" (the freckles). My name means "Fierce Chieftain," the NBCR people named me this because I was the Alpha Dog of the pack (of 120 Border Collies)!!!   You can call me "Kenny," everyone else does. I am about 5 years old.

I am making progress and guess I am ready for a permanent home; however, only with a family who has a lot of patience as I transition.  Being in a home with other dogs would be good.  Playing chase in the yard with the youngest sibling is my latest craze.  Breakfast and dinner is served in the kitchen and not in my crate anymore.  I now eat with my siblings, sleep with them at night and know what the treat jar sounds like and join them for a snack.  I am still cautious around humans although I have urges to go to them for pets.

My foster mom loves my SMILE!  She is still trying to take a picture of my pearly whites but I am camera shy.  I am crate trained, it’s my safe place, and am doing better on a leash, still don't like it, but I don't tug too much anymore. Recently, I was introduced to the neighbors Yorkies and did real well.

Please email Karen if you are interested in "Kenny".
