"OISIN"
(378) October 2009

Oisin (O-SHEEN) is a black & white male Border Collie. This guy is one of the last 19 dogs that have come to Omaha from Oklahoma. To read more about the Oklahoma dogs click here

Oisin, or Buddy as we like to call him is getting more comfortable around people and living in a home. He is still very shy but will let you pet him and will even put his head on your lap when you sit down with him.  He has just started taking treats from our hand and now looks for them when you greet him. He is a very quiet dog, seldom makes any sound, when he needs to go outside for a bathroom break he will give you a little grunt. We were anticipating house training Buddy since he had never lived in a house before, but he has never had an accident in the house or crate since he came to our foster home. He is in his crate during the day while we are at work and has no problem waiting til we get home.

Buddy was a little thin when we got him but has gained some weight now and looks very healthy. His coat was in bad shape from neglect, but we have been combing him frequently and now he is really a very handsome fellow. He has a nice shiny black coat with just a little white on his chest and his left from paw has some white ticking. He is very good during his baths and has even let us trim his nails without a fuss.
Buddy has never shown any aggression to people or our two dogs. We have not had him around cats or children.
Buddy would definitely need to have a home with a fenced yard as he is still easily startled and wants to run and hide. He still has to gain confidence in himself and will take some time to trust new people.
