SPECIAL NEEDS...
"Slevin had been to the vet (January 09) and it has been determined he is in the beginning stages of developing cataracts. This affects his vision a little. He can easily see in general, but appears to have some problems seeing sharply. A further visit to a vet eye specialist is recommended for his health. Currently this does not affect his quality of life and most likely won't for several years."

STU's BIO
Slevin (Stuey) is a 4 year old black and white purebred male Border Collie. He is a sweet, gentle and smart dog. Stuey is crate trained and house broken. He has learned to use the dog door and lets himself out at night to go potty. He barks when there is something going on, but for the most part is a quiet guy. He has learned to mimic the sighs and grunts that both myself and other dog make when going to bed or relaxing. He is a good sleeper and has a cute little snore sometimes.

Stuey is a loving dog and likes both men and women. He approaches anyone at the dog park who looks like they do or don’t want to talk to him. He’s a little apprehensive if you approach him, but warms up quickly. He likes hands because he knows that’s where pets come from and food. He likes his head and under his chin rubbed. He is learning that it’s okay to pet/touch all of his body.

Stuey must have been raised on a farm, as he loves the sound of big trucks, like when the garbage truck comes. He is a moderate to high energy dog and likes to run. When he is allowed out of the yard and riding in the car, his nose never quits sniffing. He is enamored by the outside world. He would do great for someone who has lots of time to exercise him or on a farm or ranch.

Stuey needs to work on walking on leash. Stuey has shown little interest in chasing balls or playing with toys. He does like to sleep on blankets and dog beds, but not usually with toys. I have caught him once playing with a squeaky ball by himself outside and playing catch with himself. I think he doesn’t realize he allowed to be a dog.
Stuey is a great dog and looking for your love!
