Jetta is a smooth coat black/white purebred Border Collie and an absolute sweetheart. She is about one year old. Jetta is still a little timid and shy but eventually warms up to people when around them long enough. Because she is so timid she can sometimes urinate out of submission to people but for the most part goes to the bathroom outside. She gets along great with dogs and loves to play with our one year old Border Collie (who happens to look very similar to Jetta). When she is playing with other dogs she shows some signs of herding but we have not seen her herd kids or people. Jetta has now been tested on sheep and has shown considerable herding talent. She would make a great dog for a novice herder or hobby herder. She will need training.
She has not shown us her full personality but we think when she gets comfortable she will be a fairly active dog, so taking her on walks and to the park for exercise would be good for her. Jetta does well on the leash and does not pull very much or very hard and likes to stick close to you.
When Jetta hears our one month old baby crying, she gets very excited but has not shown any aggression, probably just curiosity and concern. She sleeps well in her crate at night but also loves to snuggle on the end of your bed. She has just learned her name and does not know any commands other than come, but we are working with her and she has been learning very quickly.
