Kerry is one of the last 19 dogs that have come to Omaha from Oklahoma. To read more about the "Oklahoma Dogs click here

Kerry is a very sweet, female border collie. Kerry has really come out of her shell. She has adjusted well to living inside and being with people. At times she can be very happy and bouncy. In the morning and when her foster mom comes home from work, Kerry lights up and wiggles! She now lifts her tail up over her back and wags it as hard as she can.

When Kerry first came into her foster home, her foster mom took her for walks at night, as Kerry was very startled by “neighborhood noises” and cars. Walking at night, when everything was quieter, gave Kerry more confidence. She made steady improvement out and about. Kerry still likes to stick near her mom in new environments, but she will explore a bit too. Kerry never pulls on leash and really does seem to enjoy going for walks with her foster mom.

Kerry has two favorite hobbies. She likes to jump off and on the couch. Up, down, up, down... she can jump up and down twenty times. Sometimes she will go over to the water dish and sometimes she will stop and hop up on the couch again. Kerry also likes to lick things. She will lick the leather couch, as well as socks, hands, and her dog buddy Rex’s head and ears.

Kerry and the resident dog respect each other, but haven’t really tried to play, etc.
Kerry never makes a noise except when the other dogs are barking. She has warmed up to being petted and will actually come over all on her own and ask for attention. Her foster mom can give her hugs and once and a while Kerry will give her a little kiss on the nose. Kerry is a sweet girl!
